The basic need of every business is to be where the customers are. If you sell lemonade, then make sure your lemonade stand is in a place that is warm and has a lot of people who would want a refreshing drink. If you have a Chipotle restaurant, then have an
iPhone app. What? Yes, that is right, you can now get your daily fix of 1,000 calorie burritos via an iPhone app. People eat burritos, and people have iPhones, so it makes perfect sense. Chipotle has a customer base they want to reach, and make it easier for them to purchase Chipotle products.
Have you evaluated your sales and marketing process to include technology, like the iPhone, or social networking like Twitter and FaceBook? You need to, because that is where people are congregating, and people are deciding which vendors to work with, and which products to purchase.
Here is hint….I am writing this from a pub I saw last night on Twitter. A friend was here, he posted a tweet that included a picture of his drink of choice, and it sounded good. So here I am enjoying it, and writing this on my blog, and cross posted on Twitter.
Where are your customers at right now?
Maybe you should ask me? :)
